ERP Specialist (Oracle): Work with Finance, Procurement, Ops, and IT to optimize Oracle ERP, deliver reliable processes, and empower informed decisions.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative ERP Specialist (Oracle) to join our IT and business operations team. The successful candidate will support, configure, and optimize our Oracle ERP landscape to enable business processes across finance, procurement, supply chain, and human resources. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Procurement, Operations, and external implementation partners to deliver reliable, auditable, and user-friendly ERP solutions. Strong functional knowledge of Oracle modules, pragmatic problem-solving, and clear communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle System Support & Configuration

Provide day-to-day support for Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion), or hybrid Oracle landscapes including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Configure Oracle modules, setup master data, workflows, approval hierarchies, and security roles according to business requirements and industry best practices.

Manage patching, release activities, transport workflows, and maintain configuration documentation following established change control procedures.
Project Delivery & Enhancements

Participate in ERP implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects: gather requirements, perform fit/gap analysis, design solutions, and support testing and deployment activities.

Collaborate with Product Owners, business SMEs, and development teams to translate process requirements into Oracle configuration, extension requests, or feasible process alternatives.

Support user acceptance testing (UAT), develop test scripts, coordinate test cycles, and validate business scenarios to ensure high quality releases.
Integrations, Data & Reporting

Coordinate with integration and middleware teams to maintain reliable interfaces between Oracle ERP and third-party systems, ensuring data consistency and timely processing.

Perform data migrations, conversions, and periodic data cleansing; develop and validate ETL processes and file-based or API-based data exchanges as required.

Create and maintain operational and financial reports, queries, and dashboards to support business decision-making and regulatory requirements.
Governance, Security & Continuous Improvement

Support Oracle security and access administration including role design, segregation of duties analysis, and periodic access reviews to maintain compliance and least-privilege principles.

Document solution designs, configuration settings, runbooks, and operational procedures to support knowledge transfer and audit readiness.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve ERP processes, automation, and system performance; recommend and implement practical improvements and process controls.
Required Qualifications - Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

3+ years of hands-on experience supporting or configuring Oracle ERP (Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud/Fusion, or comparable ERP) in a production environment.

Practical knowledge of at least one Oracle functional area (e.g., Financials/GL/AP/AR, Procurement/P2P, Order Management, Inventory) and familiarity with core business processes.

Experience with Oracle configuration, patching/patch sets, master data management, and basic SQL or PL/SQL awareness for troubleshooting integrations or custom reports.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience using ticketing systems, change control processes, and documenting technical and functional specifications.

Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to conduct user training and create clear process documentation.
Preferred Qualifications

Oracle certification in a relevant area (e.g., Oracle Cloud ERP, Financials, Procurement) or equivalent vendor certification.

Experience with Oracle Cloud migrations, Fusion implementations, or hybrid cloud/on-premise Oracle landscapes.

Familiarity with integration tools and middleware (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, REST/SOAP APIs, FILES, Oracle SOA) and experience implementing interfaces between ERP and other enterprise systems.

Knowledge of segregation of duties tools, audit controls, and experience supporting compliance and internal audit requests.

Experience with reporting and BI platforms (e.g., Oracle Analytics, OTBI, OBIEE, Power BI) is a plus.

Experience working in cross-functional teams and mentoring junior ERP or business analysts.
Work Environment & Compensation

Full-time position with a hybrid onsite/remote work model; occasional travel for system rollouts, vendor meetings, or team offsites may be required.
